Ramping Up!

This is an exciting week!  This Friday is the opening reception at The Cooley Gallery, where I'll be a featured artist for the month of March. I am beyond excited and am even still trying to finish up framing as well as all the other odds and ends that go with delivering pieces for a show.  Who knew that a person could go through so much bubble wrap trying to pack up 15 paintings for a show?!

Above is a sneak peek at one of the paintings that will be featured in the show, "Pennsylvania Avenue."  This is a 24"x48" oil on canvas, and while I've done a few evening scenes before, there was something unique about this one that I really enjoyed.  Maybe it's the bolder colors or all the lights, but I really enjoyed this one!

Just as a reminder, the show runs from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. this Friday, March 7th, at The Cooley Gallery in Leesburg (12 S. King Street).  It coincides with Leesburg First Fridays, so bring your party hat because it's bound to be a great time!
