Painting, Painting
January is always a pretty quiet time it seems. I'm not sure if it's a post-Christmas hibernation or just getting away from the cold, but it's always a peaceful (and sometimes sleepy) time. I've been painting a lot, which has been great as while it seems like a painter should be painting constantly, that isn't always how it ends up being.

Miniature Arts Society of Florida Annual Exhibition!
If you are in the Tampa area, make sure to check out the Miniature Arts Society of Florida's annual exhibition, starting Saturday, January 20th. I have two pieces in the show and it is truly an honor as it is one of the preeminent miniature art shows in the U.S.!

Country Roads, Take Me Home...
I have always loved painting stadiums, but I have to be honest when I say that I haven't really put brush to canvas for a football scene for some time, so I was really excited to be commissioned to paint this iconic stadium in Morgantown. While the stadium itself has expanded over the years, the marching band still continues to create their famous and quite impeccable state of West Virginia shape as depicted in the painting. I can't even imagine how hard that is to coordinate, although marching while playing a musical instrument alone is pretty amazing in my book. What's even more amazing is that the university stadium can hold up to 60,000 people, although attendance has been in excess of 70,000!
Hope you enjoy!
